The Day Star business idea began when Mr. McKernan was a young man looking for a personal adventure out in Northern California in 1998. Experiencing the beautiful countryside and the endless possibilities brought him to the opportunity to start his own business and to learn a new trade. Window cleaning came to his attention while he was staying about 20 miles from a ski resort. He was staying at a house in the mountains and noticed that the windows were covered in pinesap. So as a good deed he cleaned the windows, and that’s how Day Star Window Cleaning Service LLC was born.
